How to Download RedGIFs on iPhone (No App)

All guides

iOS makes this harder than Android, but it works in Safari with no app installed. The confusion is mostly about where the file goes afterwards.

The steps

  1. Open the post in Safari or the RedGIFs app.
  2. Tap the share icon, then Copy link. If you are in Safari, long-press the address bar and choose Copy instead.
  3. Open the downloader in Safari, tap the paste button, then the download button.
  4. iOS asks whether you want to download the file. Confirm.

Where the file actually goes

It does not appear in Photos. It goes to the Files app, under On My iPhone → Downloads. You can reach it faster from the download arrow that appears next to Safari's address bar. To get it into Photos, open it in Files, tap share, then Save Video.

Why not an app

App Store rules mean downloader apps for adult platforms either do not survive review or arrive loaded with subscriptions and trackers. A browser page has nothing installed, nothing running in the background, and nothing to uninstall later.

If the download does not start

Safari blocks downloads from pages it considers untrusted in some configurations. Check Settings → Safari and confirm downloads are set to save to your iPhone rather than iCloud Drive if you are offline. Low Data Mode also silently cancels large downloads on cellular.

Try it

The downloader is on the home page. No signup, and nothing opens that you did not click.
